It’s important to feel like you’re a part of something. To feel accepted and supported, simply for being you!

I created the Photographic Connections online community to bring like-minded people from around the world together, to connect, to share and to grow.

In my own journey, I’ve learnt that in order for photography to truly fulfil us, we must first learn to listen to our inner voice and discover ways to create images that personally bring us joy. Our unique journey is what makes us who we are after all. I love to recognise and honour this in each and every person I connect with.

Speaking of connection, I believe connecting with others also deepens our connection to ourselves. Through the community I guide members to explore what interests them, while having the support and inspiration of the other members around them too.

Through the monthly webinar and photography theme, I plant the seeds for you explore your personal photographic journey. As well as my offerings, I’m sure you will be inspired and moved by the conversations and works of fellow members, further enriching your photographic experience.

Our community is open to everyone, whether you’re a seasoned photographer or complete beginner.

There are no barriers in our community. Every person and image is welcomed. You are also free to choose how much you engage with the community activities too. Some members like to dip in and out, while others like to engage on a daily basis. Like with everything in life, you get out of it as much as you put in, however, you get to decide what personally works best for you.

We also have members from all over the world. Each week’s events (whether the live webinar or community Zoom catch-ups) are hosted at different times. This is usually either 10am or 7pm UK time. This allows us to cater for different time zones. As a member, there should be at least 2 events each month happening during sociable hours for you to attend.

While the catch-ups are not recorded, the monthly live webinar is. You can therefore catch-up at your own leisure, if you wish to do so and are unable to attend live.

While photography is the heart of everything we do in the community, Photographic Connections combines photography with other creative and wellness exercises.

Exploring emotions through imagery

Kim and fellow community members also regularly share other resources, such as videos and books, that inspire us to connect more deeply with the themes we explore. All of this enables us to fully embody the photographic process and create images that personally light us up.
